Following our African Cruise, we spent four days in Cape Town, South Africa.
From there we took joined a small group for a day safari at a private game preserve about two hours away.
There's a nice lodge where we had breakfast and after a game drive, we had lunch before returning to Cape Town.
First, we saw a few giraffes at a distance.
There were a small herd of Cape Buffalo.
And zebras nearby.
The rhinos were impressive.
Of course, the lions were amazing but the old male looked quite lethargic.
The elephant was at a considerable distance.
Also at a distance was a gemsbok.
It was fun to see the animals outside of a zoo but if you have time, I recommend a trip to Kruger National Park.
