Cam Ranh, Vietnam

Cam Ranh Port, set along Vietnam’s south‑central coast near Nha Trang, is one of Southeast Asia’s finest natural harbors, known for its deep, sheltered bay and long military history. Today it blends strategic importance with growing commercial and tourism roles, welcoming cargo ships, naval vessels, and an increasing number of cruise passengers who use it as a gateway to the region’s beaches, islands, and coastal culture.

We took a bus to the Cara World resort for a half-day of relaxation and a bit of walking.

Cara World Resort in Cam Ranh sits along the long, soft curve of Bãi Dài Beach, giving guests easy access to clear turquoise water and wide stretches of sand perfect for swimming or quiet morning walks. The resort is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, with landscaped paths that wind through palm groves, gardens, and shaded green spaces—ideal for leisurely strolls between the beach, pool, and central amenities. Guests can enjoy a full‑service restaurant offering fresh local seafood and Vietnamese dishes, along with a convenient on‑site store for snacks, beachwear, and travel essentials. With its mix of natural beauty, walkable grounds, and practical comforts, Cara World makes a relaxing and scenic base for exploring the Cam Ranh coast.

We returned to our room ahead of the crowd.

Travel Notes

In 2026, the prices were a bargain for those with US dollars or Euros.

There was no charge for the shuttle to the resort and no resort fee for what we did--shopping, eating, walking, and relaxing. Check prices if you want to do more.
