Segedunum Roman Fort, located in Wallsend at the eastern end of Hadrian’s Wall, offers a rich and immersive experience into Roman Britain.


There's an Excavated Roman Fort

  Most completely excavated fort along Hadrian’s Wall.

  View outlines of barrack blocks, stables, headquarters, and the commander’s house.

  Troops stationed here came from regions now known as Belgium and northern France.
